To further fulfill our mission to help youth develop the confidence to create their sense of place in the world, we are now offering behavioral programs as a licensed mental health agency that respond to community-identified needs. Our evidence-based programs help youth build social-emotional learning skills, develop tools for navigating challenges, and gain self-confidence. Our programs take advantage of our large outdoor spaces from our farm to our hiking trails to provide unique experiences and learning opportunities.
- Ages 9 – 18
Circle programs provide a fun, creative space for youth that identify with female development to build confidence and supportive relationships. The evidence-based, Girls Circle curricula use activities such as discussion, drama, art, poetry, and collage to explore topics relevant to youth development in gender-specific ways.
- Ages 7 – 12
The Maine Coon Cats program uses the evidence-based Coping Cat curriculum to teach kids anxiety management skills in 8-session and 16-session formats. Through fun, hands-on activities, kids will learn techniques for recognizing and coping with anxious thoughts and feelings. Kids will have the chance to practice these skills both in-session and with home assignments. Parents will be updated on their child’s progress and given activities to use at home.
- for Coon Cat Graduates
The Lynxes Group provides a fun space for Coon Cat graduates to stay connected and keep their coping skills fresh. Program activities will focus on reinforcing skills learned in coping cat, while continuing to add more strategies to their coping tool box.
