This week long Model United Nations (MUN) camp will take advantage of the fun and challenging Camp Ketcha program areas to work on important real world skills. The ropes course, archery range and sports areas will provide campers with opportunities to understand the importance of following rules, promote teamwork and exhibit sportsmanship. While at drama they will develop their role playing, debate and improvisation techniques. Campers will learn background information about the topic subject during activities and discussions at the environmental education, garden and barn program areas, as well as field trips to the Scarborough Public Library and other local spots to further our research. The camp will conclude on Friday with campers representing their assigned country in a Model UN simulation called CaKe-MUN. Participating campers will build confidence, sharpen leadership skills and have fun while gaining a new understanding of the world around them.
