Mini + Junior Farm

At Camp Ketcha, campers are immersed in a rich array of hands-on experiences designed to foster curiosity, responsibility, and a deeper connection with nature. From tending to the garden beds, and nurturing vegetables and flowers to observing the behaviors of our resident chickens and goats, campers actively participate in the daily rhythms of farm life. They engage in essential tasks such as feeding, watering, and grooming animals, gaining valuable insights into animal care and responsibility.

In the outdoor kitchen, campers concoct delicious mud pies and hearty pebble soups, utilizing “ingredients” from the garden. Guided hikes through the forest offer opportunities to discover the diverse plant life thriving at Camp Ketcha. Within the barn, campers delve into art projects and crafts, channeling their creativity while honing their skills. By the end of the week campers will have deeper understanding of garden ecosystems, gardening techniques, and animal friends. Additionally, through a field trip to another farm, campers will learn about different animal species and farming practices.
