In this hands-on farm camp, campers learn what it takes to care for a garden and help things grow. They’ll plant and tend vegetables and flowers, learn about soil and compost, and explore how food travels from the garden to the table. Daily activities include weeding, watering, harvesting small crops, and creating nature-based crafts using items from the garden.

Campers will also spend time with Ketcha’s goats and chickens, experiencing how animals contribute to farm life. The week includes a special field trip to Smiling Hill Farm, where campers tour the dairy barn and enjoy fresh ice cream made right on site.

By the end of the week, campers will better understand where food comes from, develop responsibility through daily farm tasks, and likely go home with a little soil under their nails- a clear sign of a week well spent learning, growing, and getting hands-on with nature.
