Senior Outdoor Survival

Perfect for campers ready to take their outdoor skills to the next level! Throughout the week, participants will learn practical survival techniques such as fire building and safety, basic shelter construction, outdoor cooking, beginner whittling, knot tying, and fundamental navigation using map and compass. They’ll also challenge themselves on Ketcha’s ropes course to build confidence and problem-solving skills in a wilderness-style setting.

The highlight of the week is a supervised overnight camp-out right on our property, where campers set up their own tents, cook dinner over the campfire (typically hot dogs or similar), and enjoy an evening outdoors under the stars. Breakfast is also provided the following morning. Campers should bring their own camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and appropriate clothing), and if any items are not available at home, families are encouraged to contact us- we can help arrange borrowed or shared gear.

Throughout the experience, campers practice Leave No Trace principles and build confidence in their ability to be safe, prepared, and capable in nature. It’s an unforgettable week that combines fun with meaningful outdoor learning.
