Ketcha Outdoors and the Portland Gear Hub serve our community. Our mission and belief is that every individual deserves safe, equitable access to the outdoors. Currently, Maine’s immigrant community does not have that access, as many are unable to leave their homes.

We respect and uphold the dignity, safety, and basic rights of every person. We are all part of the same environment and the same community. We are committed to ensuring our spaces remain inclusive and safe for participants, staff, and families. As such, we maintain that our spaces and programs should remain free from the chilling effects of immigration enforcement practices.

Ketcha Outdoors and the Portland Gear Hub stand in unwavering solidarity with Maine’s immigrant community.

Everyone deserves the right to be outdoors.
