Sam is a native (upstate) New Yorker and spent her early days looking for bugs and biking to get ice cream. Not much has changed! Sam earned her degree in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management and Sustainability from Penn State in 2024.
After teaching outdoors from the shores of Georgia to the mountains of Maine, she landed in Portland and is thrilled to be the Lead Teacher at the Farm & Forest School. She looks forward to sharing curiosity and moments of wonder with her students. When she’s not teaching, you can find Sam biking to the beach with friends or picking up one her many craft endeavors.
