Summer is in full swing at Ketcha Outdoors, and it’s been an incredible season of adventure, connection, and outdoor fun for our campers, thanks to your continued support! Our campers have fully embraced the joys of the season, no matter the weather. Rainy days haven’t slowed us down. Every week brings something new, and our campers are thriving with energy and laughter.
Some summer highlights so far include:
🌿 Animal Week – Campers met snakes, rabbits, and bugs, fostering curiosity and compassion.
🏹 Archery Camp – Campers sharpened their focus and celebrated every bullseye.
🎭 Wacky Animal Wednesdays – A chance for campers to dress up, get silly, and learn fun animal facts.
🔥 Fire building and Outdoor Skills – Campers learned how to safely build fires, cook outdoors, and prepare for wilderness adventures.
🌌 Overnight Adventures – From cozy overnights under the stars at camp to climbing-filled nights at Salt Pump Climbing Co., campers built resilience, friendships, and a love for outdoor living.
🎶 Pops with the Pops – We celebrated the 4th of July with a joyful community concert and family picnic, welcoming the Maine Pops Concert Band for an unforgettable evening of music on the lawn.
🏴☠️ Pirate Week – Full of treasure hunts, sea shanties, and costume parades, this theme week was a true swashbuckling success!
🎯 Pie in the Face – A hilarious fundraiser that takes place during week 7 will bring smiles and whipped cream to the faces of our bravest counselors.
Every day is rich with play, growth, and discovery, whether it’s in a quiet tent rest after a long hike or a campfire song shared under the stars. We’re incredibly proud of the community our campers are building this summer, one story and smile at a time.
