We offer activities year-round to children and youth. We offer and encourage children and their families to engage with nature and the outdoors! There are many exciting opportunities to come out and play on Camp Ketcha’s beautiful 107 acres during the school year!
Farm & Forest Preschool
We offer a truly unique nature-based outdoor program for preschoolers. Ketcha is tucked between the seashore and the salt marshes on 107 acres of forest, fields, farm, and pond. September through May our students are active in the outdoors learning through exploration and observations, hiking the woods, gardening, visiting, and helping to tend our goats and chickens. We have lessons on bugs and birds, farming and forests, seasonal cycles, animals of Maine and the world – and lots and lots of outdoor playtime. We celebrate muddy hands, active minds, and happy hearts!
School Vacation Camp Programs
We offer a full day of activities for children ages 3-14. We offer traditional and specialty vacation camps year-round. Come out and snowshoe on our property and experience camp year-round! Each day features activities to keep your child engaged. Campers may register by the day or by the week. We will do inside projects, and play outside on our 107 acres of fields and woods. School Vacation Camps are offered almost every day children are out of school for scheduled vacations. Activities may include arts & crafts, outdoor living skills, drama, group games, environmental education, sports, team-building activities, cooking, and much more. Come experience summer camp during the school year!
After School Programs
We offer elementary and middle school after-school care during the school year Monday-Friday. After-school “campers” get to participate in a variety of fun and exciting activities throughout the school year with our qualified after-school staff.
“Ketcha has been transformational for our family, both filling childcare needs AND enriching our kids’ lives. Any parent knows that is the exception and not the rule, and we feel so grateful to live nearby and be a part of the Ketcha community.”
