Ketcha Outdoors operates many programs throughout the school year, including after-school care, vacation camps, and preschool. Currently, we have these positions open:

Substitute Teachers for Our Farm and Forest Preschool

Do you love the outdoors and working with young children? Ketcha Outdoors is seeking substitute teachers to support our Farm and Forest Preschool, a nature-based early childhood program where learning occurs through play, exploration, and connection to the natural world.

Long Term Preschool Assistant Teacher
Reports To: Farm & Forest Preschool Director
Location: On-site in Scarborough, Maine
Job Type: Seasonal, Part Time
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 12:30 pm-4:30 pm (16 hours/week)

JOB SUMMARY
The Farm & Forest School assistant preschool teacher is responsible for the supervision of students and ensures their safety in our nature-based outdoor preschool program that fosters an intimate connection to the natural world and supports children as they develop cognitively, physically, socially, and emotionally. As an assistant teacher, you will be expected to support lead teachers in facilitating lessons and programming that helps students to develop and strengthen age-appropriate skills and knowledge.

After School Counselor Part-time and substitute positions are available in our after-school program, which operates from 3:00-6:00 M-F Full-time hours are available whenever we have a school vacation camp. To apply, please email your resume and cover letter to jobs@ketchaoutdoors.org.
