Senior White-Water Rafting
During their adventure, campers will start by braving the whitewater rapids of the Kennebec River in The Forks, Maine, navigating a 12-mile stretch through the rugged Maine wilderness. Following this exhilarating expedition, campers will travel to Adventure Bound for a two-night stay, where they will indulge in rock climbing, swimming, hiking, and various sports activities. Before their rafting adventure, campers will undergo comprehensive training sessions to review equipment safety and rafting techniques, ensuring they are well-prepared to tackle the rapids.
At Ketcha, they will immerse themselves in the full camp experience, engaging in high and low ropes courses, swimming, and archery. Through these activities, campers will not only work through team and individual challenges, developing new skills along the way but also gain a fresh perspective of Maine beyond the confines of Camp Ketcha. They will learn to read the water, honing their ability to anticipate changes in river flow and experience a sense of accomplishment as they successfully navigate the rapids with their team, boosting their self-esteem. Overall, this camp experience promises to be both thrilling and transformative, leaving campers with cherished memories and invaluable lessons that will stay with them for years to come.
